Ipod Mini - Still a Favorite

Pros: Small, sleek, easy to use, lots of accessories, price.
Cons: Discontinued model, song capacity, older version.
Bottom Line: The iPod Mini is a stylish mp3 player, great for the gym junkie or pre-teen who can hear their music without all the extra features Apple offers with newer devices.
Rating: 4 out 5 stars.

Overview
If you’ve never used an iPod before and are considering the possibility, the iPod Mini may be a good decision for you. The Mini has become an Apple classic, in light of recent releases of the iPod Nano and large gigabyte video iPod. Though the iPod mini has been out for a while, its simplicity and sleekness is unmatched. For those who want an mp3 player for just that, to play mp3s, this little device is probably what you need. It’s simple, stylish, and affordable.

In the Box
Besides a packet of booklets, each Mini comes with a pair of iPod earphones, a USB 2.0 cable, a white AC power adapter, and a white all-plastic belt clip that holds the Mini while exposing its face. Of course there are other accessories available for the mini. This is perhaps why more and more people choose the iPod over other mp3 players. The iPod mini Dock is available at just about any electronics store for about $40. Forty more dollars will get you a remote control and a second set of headphones.

Look, etc.
Cute. Small. Fun. These three words describe the iPod Mini that took music lovers by storm three years ago. When they first appeared, we must admit we didn’t see the hype. We questioned why someone would pay for something and then still have to pay to put songs on it. During Thanksgiving break, our opinions of this alleged phenomenon changed after one of us had a chance to use the Mini while helping out with dinner. "I listened to the iPod for hours and even took it to the bathroom as I washed my face," says Natalie.

The iPod mini is appealing to people because it is easy to use and doesn’t require you to read a manual to add music. More importantly, the long battery life is good for those who travel or listen to the mini while exercising. Its compatibility with MAC and Windows allows it to connect with most computers for easy downloading and file sharing. The Mini is featured in an array of colors that are suitable for both men and women.

I'm looking for an ipod for my sister for Christmas. I don't wanna spend a lot of money but I don't wanna get her something as simple as the shuffle either. Maybe a mini is the way to go. Good job guys.

I personally think the mini is a little outdated. Apple is offering some much better products now. Better to go with the nano. You get the same features in a more compact player.

I'm an iPod fan so no complaints here.

Overall, a nice review. But I think you guys should've did one of the new players. I'd like to know more about the new video nano. It seems like a small video player is not the way to go.

This is the best iPod out right now. I got one two weeks ago and it works great.
